Civil Discourse with Former Idaho Congressman Walt Minnick

Join former Idaho Congressman, Walt Minnick and Idaho Women In Leadership on August 29, 2019, for a meaningful conversation on civility and civil discourse with leaders in government, business, and sports. Moderated by former KTVB anchor Carolyn Holly, you'll learn how you can disagree and dispute with others while listening and demonstrating mutual respect. The lunch and panel discussion will be held from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM on the 17th floor of the Zions Bank Building. Additional panel members include Governor C.L. "Butch" Otter; and Olympic Gold Medalist, Kristen Armstrong.

About Walt Minnick:

Walt Minnick, a Representative from Idaho, was born in Walla Walla, Washington on September 20, 1942. He graduated with a B.A., from Whitman College in 1964; and received his M.B.A., Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts in1966; and later went on to receive his J.D. from Harvard University in1969. Minnick served in the United States Army from 1970-1972. Minnick has practiced law privately as well as served as staff for President Richard M. Nixon. Elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Eleventh Congress, Minnick served Idaho as a U.S. Congressman from January 3, 2009-January 3, 2011.
