Self-Doubt Keeps Women from Running for Office

A New York Times article discusses the need for women to stop self-doubting themselves and get in the political ring and run for office.  Kirsten Gillibrand, a senator from New York said, "It took 10 years of volunteering to have the actual self-confidence to say 'I can run for office.'"  Senator Gillibrand said this needs to change because women are just as likely as men to be elected for political office, they just need the confidence to get out there and get on the campaign trail.  To read the full article click here.
